British tenor Guy Cutting is acclaimed for his interpretations of Bach and the Baroque. He has worked with Philippe Herreweghe, Masaaki Suzuki, John Eliot Gardiner, and many others, including rising conductors like Jonathan Cohen and Laurence Cummings.
He has sung with leading period ensembles such as Collegium Vocale Gent, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (BBC Proms), Dunedin Consort, Gli Angeli Genève, and the De Nederlandse Bachvereniging. His wider engagements include the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, and Britten Sinfonia.
A committed recitalist, Guy has performed Schubert with Kristian Bezuidenhout and English song with George Ireland and Hannah Ely. His recordings span Scarlatti, Handel, Charpentier, Blow, and Gabriel Jackson. Upcoming projects include Acis and Galatea with Capella Mediterranea, and Bach with the Handel and Haydn Society. He studied at New College, Oxford and received the American Bach Society’s Jeffrey Thomas Award.
