A glimpse among the glorious annals of Soviet music. For one evening, we are calling on all emerging youths, aspiring talent, boomers who have not yet unfurled and are looking for vain validation. This time, Ascona is playing the card of an influential pianist like Viktoria Postnikova who, besides being a road companion to great violinist Yehudi Menuhin, for years has appeared as a couple with husband Gennadij Roždestvenskij, with whom she even performed at Settimane a single time on September 1989. And her keyboard research takes two directions: First, some anthology from Mozart’s catalogue, afterwards the affectionate meteorological sequel of a Tchiakovsky album, suspended between white nights, scenes of hunting and fireplace evenings.
